A few years ago we catered to these people by having an "Anything goes
Pinewood Derby" at Roundtable. We had everything carried to ridiculous
extremes. For example: a semi trailer model loaded with lead "logs" (it
barely moved).
The undisputed winner was a rocket propelled model. Its inventor made a big
show of igniting it with a torch while wearing a mad scientist outfit, (lab
coat, gloves, and safety glasses). The competing cars were half way down the
track before he got it lit. His car hit the far wall in the school cafeteria
before theirs got to the end of the track! B^)
