1997 Jamboree List

Doug Gentry (dwgentry@POLARCONSULT.COM)

Stephen White mentioned he had been chosen as an adult leader with his
Council's Jamboree troop for 1997, and he wondered about trading tips and
experiences with others who have gone or are planning to go...

If you are a Scout or Scouter planning to go to the 1997 National Jamboree
at Fort AP Hill there is a mailing list of almost 500 others in the same
boat. We've been "meeting" since late in 1995, and seem to grow every day.

The list, Jambo97, works pretty much like Scouts-L.

To join Jambo97, send an email to: majordomo@hoplite.org

In the body of the message type: subscribe jambo97

If you would prefer 4-5 longer messages a week rather than about 5-10
messages a day...

type: subscribe jambo97-digest

instead.

There is also a good Jamboree Web page, managed by Don Tolin. You can find
it at:

http://w3.trib.com/~dont/scouting/jambo97.html

(the "w3" is correct.)

If you have other questions please write me directly.
