I am not sure what postings you are referring to because I don't recall
having seen any lately, but I can take a guess... From what little you
included in your post I would guess that you are talking about the drug LSD.
It is typically applied to small bits of paper often with a cute design
printed on them. Which particular design doesn't matter and may have
regional variations. A "blue star" could be one such design, I suppose.
There was a big scare locally a few years back and it was said that kids
as young as 5 years old were selling them to their classmates! The paper
with the design and the drug is placed in the mouth (under the tongue?) and the
drug is absorbed into the system.
I can imagine that these bits of paper with their colorful designs could be
confused with the small temporary tatoos that can be purchased or found in
cereal and cracker jacks boxes...
