We of the Longhorn Council of Ft. Worth, Texas, are fortunate to have a
great Scout Camp in our council. It is one of several camps in our
council. This camp is Sid Richardson Scout Ranch located on Lake
Bridgeport about an hour's drive from Ft. Worth. It is some 3000+ acres
with 19+ miles of shoreline. All the programs are great, but it has a 17
acre COPE course for the older scouts, and a fabulous aquatic program
with sail boating, small boat motor boating, canoeing, rowing,
waterskiing, and a wonderful evening program with pontoon boats available
for troops to use to go to the out camps and islands.
The geological formations are awesome with 70 foot sheer rock cliffs and
other sites to see.
There is a horsemanship program along with all the traditional summer
camp activities.
Check it Out!!!!
