Admininistrative: Reminders

Hi everyone ...

Time for a few reminders of some of the posting policies to Scouts-L
that a lot of folks are forgetting or have not read the WELCOME
file throughly.

- Dont quote messages. If you feel you must quote messages, edit as
much as possible.

- Use private email whenever possible. ALL messages have whom they
are from. Your email software may hide or delete it, but it is
delivered to you.

- Please ... no one-liners to simpley say "I agree", etc to the
list. These should go to an individual along with other types
of "welcome" or "congratualation" type of messages.

- Use the Scout oath and law when posting messages. We all have
opinions ;) ... but that does not mean we express them by "tearing"
down other people. I find the scouts oath and law are the best
rules as to the content of your postings.

Just a reminder that there is a 50 posting limit per day on scouts-l
so make sure your posting is appropriate to a direct audience of
almost 2,000 scouters world wide.

The WELCOME file is available on the scouts-l home page of:

http://www.engr.tcu.edu/~eidson/scouts-l

as well as few other things. I hope to be adding more in the near
future.

YiS, Jon Eidson, Listowner Scouts-L
