Advancement Card Sheets

Terry M. Lynch (TMLynch@RDC.NOAA.GOV)

Being the Advancement Chairman for our large Troop, I get the enviable task
of filling out the Merit Badge and Rank Advancement wallet cards for each
award earned. As I sat down last night and went through the stack of about
50 of these, I grew tired of writing the council name, etc., over & over on
each card. Some COH's, especially after a productive summer camp, can
produce a bumper crop up into the 200's of cards that need to be filled
out.

Then I had a brainstorm.... I have all the information on Troopmaster,
I'll merge the pertinent information into a WordPerfect template and let
the computer do the work for me. Much neater looking, no spelling errors,
etc... No such luck, I just couldn't get the little cards to feed reliably
into my Cannon Bubble Jet printer.

Has any one out there had any luck doing this with perhaps another type of
printer? Or better yet, does national have available these cards on a
perforated 81/2 x 11 sheet (similar to a sheet full of labels)? Any ideas
out there? Thanks....
