The 1910 Society was introduced at the 1995 National Council Meeting. It is
a national recognition (no knot folks) for those individuals who make
contributions of $25,000 or more to the local council endowment. The charter
members of the society will be (have been) inducted at a private reception
for them and all James E. West Fellows held the night before the opening of
the Norman Rockwell Exhibit in various cities throughout the US. There are,
I believe, four levels named after four pioneers of scouting. The levels
start at $25,000 and jump rather rapidly into the $1,000,000 range I believe.
I've searched my office for the brochure I had on it from the National
Council meeting but I can't find it. If your really interested, I can think
of a few scout executives who might be willing to come to your house, cook
your dinner, clean the floor and talk to you about it :<) .
