Global Volunteers

re: Looking for volunteers, worldwide, to help with collection of donated
computer equipment in their local areas

An innovative approach to addressing problems of enormous consequence
in Africa, in areas ranging from community development to rural health care,
from wildlife management to fisheries management, from farming to
reforestation.

...Can you help?
------------------------

Hi!

We receive E-Mail and FAXes daily from persons and organizations around the
world wanting to donate computer equipment to the African Computer Literacy
Program, but we often have no local contact persons or local collection
points established in the city or country in question.

If you have even a small amount of time, and may be willing to donate it to
a good cause -- or if you know of a person or organization possibly willing
-- would you please let us know?

Please respond directly to Dr. Osei DARKWA, University of Illinois-Chicago;
Director, Computer Literacy Program (VOLU):

darkwa@tigger.cc.uic.edu

Any time you could donate (however little) -- either in contacting possible
sources of donated equipment, or in serving as a "collection point" -- would
be most appreciated!

We are currently in the process of arranging for transporation to Africa, by
a variety of means.

Thank you!
