I understood that the statistics indicated a strong correlation between
retention and 1st Class rank. This could indicate the boys were dedicated to
scouting and could indicate that boys stayed in troops with a program that
got them to 1st Class before they lost interest. I believe the statistics
also showed a high negative correlation between retention and boys who did
not achieve 1st Class. YiS
