Remember all commands to the Listserv(tm) machine must be sent to the
special command and control address: LISTSERV@tcubvm.is.tcu.edu

The correct command is SET SCOUTS-L NOMAIL

Be sure you (or your mail program trying to help you) do not add your
usual sig line at the end of the your msg. The Listserv(tm) will think it
is more commands and try to process them. Also, you have to send this
command from the email account you normally use to receive Scouts-L mail.
You cannot send it from a different account. After you send it, you will
(within 24hrs, usually within 30min) receive an acknowledgement from the
Listserv(tm) machine that will tell you your mail is stopped. If you
don't get the acknowledgement, then something went wrong (email is not
perfect) and you need to resend the command.

Note this does not hold and accumulate mail for you and send it all to
when you sign on again. You will just miss out on the mail in between
times unless you retrieve it from the List archives.

To sign on again, send to the same special command address as above
the command SET SCOUTS-L MAIL (or SET SCOUTS-L DIGEST if you prefer
the one-a-day digest form).
