Kevi Doyle reminds us that the swastika was in use by the Ntaive
Americans before the Nazi party adopted it. In fact, it was the
oficial insignia of the 45th. Infantry before the second world war
(although the swastica was in the opposite direction to that which was
adopted by the nazi regime). The 45th. adopted the current emblem of
the Thunderbird in order to avoid confusion during the Second World
War, and have maintained thet emblem since that time.
