31 New Eagle Scouts in Troop 809

"Troop 809 soars on wings of eagles."
St. David's Episcopal Church 4 1/2 years ago started a troop with 33 boys
and today 31 share in an eagle ceremony to Eagle Scout. They are all
sophomores with active family participation. There are 30 fathers and
one widowed mother that are active. This is the largest group from one
troop to receive their Eagle Scout rank at one time. This troop was
started in 1987 after William O'Brien said to his father "Dad, I want to
be an Eagle Scout like you". So his father James c OBrien was one of the
founders.
What does the future hold for Troop 809. Only God knows for sure.
