A Scouter who is Moving

John Pannell (PANNELLJ@DELPHI.COM)
Mon, 9 Oct 1995 10:34:24 -0400

The subject line says most of it.

I leave tomorrow morning for the Chicagoland area to find a place to live.
With luck I will be moving the following week and starting my new job
with CNA (in the Loop) on the 23rd.

Words cannot describe the heaviness in my heart as I undertake this move.

I just wanted to let any Chicago area Scouters know that a willing volunteer
will soon be somewhere in their midst. This willingness is further
enhanced by a ticket I must now work! *g* I do not yet know where I will
live, other than it will most likely NOT be in the city.

For those involved with the OA, I have a keen interest in working with or
helping to start a ceremonies team. This is included as part of my ticket.

Once I know where I will be, I will be looking for a troop to work with or
another position to fill. If your troop is willing to accept the services
of a single 31 year old Scouter with no children in the program --
apparently some consider those like myself to be a safety risk -- you may
have yourself a new assistant. In order to very quickly list my
qualifications and experiences, I will attach the expanded form of my .sig
file to this message. (sorry for exceeding five lines...)

If you're in the Chicagoland area, please drop me a line. I will have a
laptop (with modem) with me this week and can check my mail.

I also beg forgiveness for those who will see this message twice!

YiS,
John Pannell
ASM Troop 39, Old North State Council, NC -- soon to be in Chicagoland
Also a briefly registered Unit Commissioner
Former (as of last week) Chapter Adviser -- Tsoiotsi Tsogalii 70
