Great!

That's right and I've got the name mixed, Larry! However, many of the
holders of the Distinguished Service Award have done much to emphasize
camping in their local Council as well as in their Order of the Arrow
Section (usually around five to eight lodges).

Even though this is a national award (presented usually at the
National Order of the Arrow conferences, but some are presented at
Regional or Council annual meetings), nominations are gathered at the
local level and there's nothing that prevents a Lodge from supporting
the nomination of a great Scouter that have done much work in their
local Council (without being a sectional, regional or national
leader). That was the original purpose of the award.

I believe at the past National OA Conference, the numbers were around
530 since the first awards to Edson, Goodman and eight other Arrowmen
at the 1940 OA conference.

Thanks for the corrections, Larry!!
