Well
Being a 4 year Cubmaster - the way I communicate to our PAC 71 and Parents
are:
1) At the end of July I send out a Letter to all returning Leaders etc.
with a schedule date for a meeting at my house to go over next years agenda.
In this letter, includes the Council Calendar Events and some of the Events
which the Cub Scouts mention to me from Last Year which they would like to
do, the nights for Registration and Parent's Night which will be held in
Sept.
1A) Also - I am sending out a questionaire to all Parent's requesting inputs
and Leaders for this Forthcoming Year on what Services they would like to
have change, put in for the forthcoming year, & to attend this meeting as
well.
2) A Registration Letter is sent the first week of August and a reminder
letter the first week in Sept., to ALL Cub Scouts Parent's
of the forthcoming Registration Nights.
3) The Leaders & Committee Meetings Scheduloe are set for the the year which
are held on Sundays at my house from 7 or 7:30 PM time frame.
4) This year - we will create and colorful Newsletter generate by the boys
you will actually will do the lay out , text, input of images and printing on
the PC which will be 1 boy from each Den for two months and rotate. The final
touches of this - is still being created.
5) We hand out Flyers at least two weeks before and Pack 71 Event is being
help to all Den Leaders and Tiger Cubs and the Leaders Meeting which they
hand out at their meetings.
6) On Field Trips which are schedule there are Flyers sent as well as follow
up Phone Calls to collect money or ask if they have any questions so that
everyone is on the same path.

That is how we do it and this mainly an overview and not the details which
does go on. The PACK is around 40 to 50 boys average
over the last 4 years.
Any suggestion send to NEC BILL1 not the whole area, or to continue the
conversation. I be glad to exchange ideas with other Cubmaster old or new.
