Did your pack "Do Its Best"? If it did, wear the patch proudly and display
the ribbon on your pack flag. If you feel you didn't earn the award in the
spirit that it was intended, don't distribute the patches and work harder for
next year.
I remember receiving a patch as a cub for selling tickets to a scouting event
though my dad sold the bulk of them (I may have sold 2 on my own). I didn't
feel right wearing the award, so I never had my mom sew it on. Let your
conscious be your guide.
