Congratulations on your participation and completion in the Wood Badge
course. While SR-119 may have been the first to work under the "final print"
of the new syllabus, course SR-5, held at Gulf Stream Council Feb-Mar 94, was
one of the first courses to go through the "final draft" of the new syllabus.
They used us as a test case to see if the "new" syllabus would work. Staff
spent almost as much time performing progress evaluations on the course as
they did on presenting it to us (they had to sleep some time :).

What's wrong with his attending a JLTC in your own council? Most councils
present a JLTC in June so that the JLs would be fired up at Summer Camp. If
your council is not presenting a course, then you need to ask your district
and council training chairmen <why not?>. Of course, you had better be
prepared to spend time with it, because the raising of the question usually
implies volunteering to "bell the cat."

Try the Atlanta Area Council. They put on a preety decent Comissioner's
College (they were the first, I believe). I recommend you goto your
council's commissioner basic training first, then go to the supplemental
training.
You may also want to contact the Suwanee River Area Council, in Tallahassee.
It's about 150 miles from you on I-10, and they seem to have their act
together in training, so the rumor mill goes.
