Administrative: Downtime Problems of Late

Hi All ...

Sorry for all the Scouts-L downtime of late. There have been
several problems of late causing all the downtime. First there was
our Internet IP address change ... there is no easy way to change
campus wide IP addresses without a lot of fall out. Second, our
BITNET gateway site of UTARLVM1 was not working for a couple of days
(probably due to IP changes) and finally, the LISTSERV software
has been aborting of late which I tracked down to a database search
job. On top of all this, I took off for a couple of days to
go with my troop on a canoe trip down the Brazos river ... and
could be around to watch things during these problems. Oh well ...

Things should be settling back down now.
