ABLT Crackerbarrel Topics

Any want to share the topics they bring up during the Crackerbarrel
session of BSA's Adult Basic Leader Training?

As a gesture of good faith, there's my current favorite:

"The incidence of AIDS seems to be appearing in the age range 24 to {I
forget the upper limit}. Since the incubation period can be 10 years,
this means the person could have been exposed at about the age of 14.
Do you think we have any responsibilities towards protecting our Scouts?"

My intention was not necessarily to get answers or to have a big discussion
but to give them something to think about.

BTW, I was re-reading some info I saved from some time ago and saw a thread
on training where the author opined that instead of a "trained" patch,
perhaps they should be issued an "exposed" patch. After this training
session, I think I'll use that during opening remarks.
