It seems to me (and seemed to me when I was in the Pack) that the purpose of
a Pack newsletter is to inform the Cubs and their families of what's going
on. Thus, the appropriate subjects are a calendar (annotated) of upcoming
events and a description of what the dens have been doing.
When I was with Pack 1, we asked a Cub in each den to write a brief description
of what they had been doing each month. Art work by the Cubs could also be
included. These were collected at the monthly committee meeting about a week
before the Pack meeting, and the parent(s) who handled the newsletter would
collate them into what was usually a two-page newsletter for the meeting.
Another Pack I am familiar with also includes a phone list of Pack leaders in
each month's newsletter, something I would have done if I had thought of it.
