Age or Grade AOL, Thanks!

I just wanted to thank everyone who responded to my post about our
problem committee member and her son. (She wants him to get his AOL
in September because he will be old enough to move into Boy Scouts.)
I received many, many replies both through Scouts-L and private
e-mail. By reading all the different perspectives, I feel I can talk
everything over calmly with the mom and the boy and together figure
out what's best for him. BTW, this may all be in vain because I don't
think the den has done any camping or boy scout activities yet. I
tried to call the den leader but she wasn't home and I haven't had a
chance to get back to her.

Anyway, I wanted to thank everyone who took the time to respond. Your
input was invaluable. My committee is always hearing about what I
read on the net about scouts. I'm the only one who has on-line
access. Thanks!
