Greetings from New Orleans, Louisiana,
I would like to introduce myself. My name is Russel Madere, Jr. and I am
currently an Assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 117 of the New Orleans Area
Council. I am an Ordeal member of the OA and a former Scoutmaster of a
defunct unit. I have worked as the Nature Director at Camp Tiak in the Pine
Burr Area Council for 2 summers and have been in Scouting as both a youth
member and a Scouter. I am also a senior at the University of New Orleans
completing (hopefully) a BS in Geology.
In pursuing my Geology degree, I am currntly enroled in a Technical Writing
class. As a senior in this class, I am expected to work on a semester long
project which demonstrates my ability to organize information and present it
in a usable format. To do this, everyone on this mailing list may be able to
help me. I will be composing a list of Scouting related InterNet Resources.
If anyone runs or owns a resource on the Net with a Scouting motif (BSA, Girl
Scouts or any youth organization) send me e-mail at RMADERE@GEOLOGY.UNO.EDU
with the name of the resource, type of resource, how to get the resource
(address, etc.), and a description. I will compose the list and if there is a
sufficent call for it, I will make it available to anyone who requests it.
Yours in Scouting,
Russel Madere, Jr.
