Hello to everyone on the list.
With the JOTA (Jamboree On The Air) coming up soon, it would be
a great idea to corral the nearest ham radio operator, and drag him or
her off camping that weekend. I did this with a troop 'way back when I
was but a youth...and a good time was had by all.
I've got a cell phone in the truck...and a few radios as well.
There are many places where cell coverage is weak or nonexistent; with
judicious choice of ham radio frequency, there is no place from which
you can't talk.
