We did something like that at one of our District Camporees re:
Scoutmastership Fundamentals...
We had the various patrols of adults teach a Scouting skill just after
dinner, and before the Sat. evening campfire.
The Scoutmastership participants loved it, and the scouts got to see their
leaders teaching a special skill rather than the boys for a change.
My personal feelings are that the adults need this kind of interacting
because it places them in the boys shoes and helps them realize the boys
feelings (sometimes of inadequacy and bewilderment).
4 years later we still have people suggesting the development of an adult
leader scouting skills trail as a topic at a district activity.
We stayed away from it because "Scouting is for Scouts!" But I believe once
in awhile, an exception rather than a rule, for adult
participation in a program is good for the program, good for the scouters and
great for the scouts.
