Re Gang Shows
Rodger, about ten years or so ago there was a British District that brought
a Gang Show to the United States and put on the show for about a week stand
in Fort Worth and then for about a week in Dallas Texas. It was before
Branif Airlines went out of business, because they were the underwriters of
bringing all their stage props over for them.
It was a great show as good as a broadway type show, it was very
professional. There were perhaps 30 or 40 Cub Scouts, 40 to 50 Boy Scouts,
and 25 to 30 Girl Guides involved with the show and a lot of adults to
manage the props and stage settings. A real super show and ran with a full
crowd for all shows.
It would be a lot of work to put on a production like that, you would likely
need the complete district as a minimum in order to find the necessary
talent, also you might need the help of the Girl Scouts unless the Scouts
have a lot of sisters that would be willing to help out.
