Norman,
Your local council should have a schedule for those courses in the area.
Usually the week long courses are in the summer. You would not get
into one this year. My council (Jersey Shore, Toms River NJ) is in a
4 council (I think) rotation with other councils in Southern NJ. This fall our
course is in Camden County, next fall its in Burlington County, (just
east of Philadelphia) then Southern NJ, then back to Jersey Shore. When
I took the course, it was hosted by Southern NJ and we had many attenders
from Bucks County, PA. However, being from Jackson, NJ, I still had the
longest drive of 2 hours to get to the course.
BTW, these are all weekend oriented courses.

So, contact your local office, they should have a list of courses, when,
and where. Good luck.
