Michael, I think you are mistaken. For those of us who define God as
something other than a supreme being, I must remind you that BSA is very
specific about NOT defining God as such and not requiring anyone else to
do so either. Even if you interpret the DRP as requiring a belief in God,
that would not mean that there is a required belief in a supreme being.

BTW, do you know if the religious medals programs make allowances for
boys who are not members of a church but are given their religious
instruction by a parent who identifies with one of the religions that
offers a religious medal? I have been asked this by several parents and
Cubs who are home schooled as far as religion goes and I am clueless
since none of my Cubs has gone through any of the religious medal
programs yet. I want to encourage them, but don't want to ask them to
fork over the money for the program booklet until I know if it will be of
any use to them, and until someone does go through the program, I have no
way to know exactly what the program is. Sort of a catch 22 for leaders.
