In the Scouting tradition I grew up with, the ashes are sprinkeled into each
campfire to represent the continuing spirit of Scouting around the world.
When the fire goes out and the ashes are cold, each Scout present takes
some. Everyone who brought and sprinkled ashes provides a copy of his/her
list of dates and places so they can be combined and shared with all who
take ashes.
KEEP ON SCOUTING!
