Hi Everyone,
For those of you interested in long-distance communication by radio
with Scouts at large gatherings:
The European Jamboree will take place from 1 to 11 August 1994 in
Dronten, The Netherlands. Some 10.000 Scouts and Guides from all over
Europe will assemble on a camp site 3 meters (10 feet) BELOW sea-
level. Actually it is at the bottom of a former sea. It is the same
camp site as will be used next year for the 18th WORLD JAMBOREE.
The European Jamboree is equiped with an amateur radio station,
suited to handle short-wave and digital radio-communications. Its
amateur radio call sign will be PA6ESJ.
If you or your scout group likes to talk directly with scouts at the
Jamboree, to catch a glimpse of the atmosphere, or just to make new
friends, a prearranged radio schedule is desirable.
Should you like such a schedule set up for you, you may send me a
message via email or packet-radio stating:
Call sign of your amateur radio station
Date, between 1 and 11 August 94
Time, in Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
Frequency
Note that email should go to me personally and not to the entire
list, as I have disabled to list mail option.
Looking forward to your response.
