BB Gun Shooting

A follow-up to my previous.

First, the question also was asked about Archery. The Archery beltloop
can be earned at any event, including with other Cubs or just family members.

Secondly, my wife, who is our Wolf son's den leader, says that at Winter
Cub Country, our council used one Range Safety Officer/Instructor and an
older [ Explorer-age ] Scout to run the program. The range has appx 12
firing points, and, for this event, they doubled up on each stall. So the
two of them were handling as many as 20+ Cubs per relay. They tried to
limit the event to 8 BB's per boy, but they permitted the Cubs, if they
wanted to, to repeat the event as many times as they wanted [ going to the
end of the line each time, and receiving the instruction each time ].

The RSO was very strict [ not authoritarian, mind you ]. He used a simple
policy that if a Cub didn't listen [ and the RSO has soft voice, so they
had to be attentive or ... ] he didn't shoot.

She, my wife, Bonny, expects all the summer CC's to be run the same, but
she only has a three boys who didn't get the BB Shooting beltloop at
Winter CC.

Maybe this helps, but, in any case, hope your CC event goes well.
