Mike listed a lot of good reasons for the adult recognitions. I would
like to add one more reason to his list, lead by example.

This discussion started with a question involving knots (the award). At
a round table meeting, one of the Den Leaders gave a good reason for
earning the knots. She was having trouble motovating her cubs to work
on their rank. So, she made a deal with them that if they worked on
their rank, she would work on her knots.
