In regard to the Cub Scout Advancement, I suggest you get a copy of the Advancem
ent Guidelines (updated annually). A boy can only stay as an active Cub Scout
(i.e. earn advancement of any rank) until he is 11 yrs 6 mos. IF - IF - IF- his
pack does not recharter during that time. If the pack recharters at his age 1
1yr. he drops from the charter.
Also see commissioners various books on rechartering process, they are really fu
ll of helpful information.
Hope this helps.
