i recommend the follwoing: make a parents' meeting and explain your
approach. let them present their arguments. if they are better ->
change your plans, if you think you're right -> keep on the way you
planned it. but always try to explain what you're doing (and: if they
still don't understand it shouldn't be your problem any longer.
