in austria the morse aplphabet is included in the advancement scheme of the
10-13 year old but it is a very minor point. we use it sometimes for games
'cause it can be fun. i don't think that many kids nowadays learn it by
heart.
maybe some "internet badges" would be a bit more up-to-date?!
