T-21, Lexington, KY charges $15 for troop dues. This covers the basics--
awards, equipment maintenance, CoH programs, newsletter and other mailings,
etc. Our activities are on a pay-as-you-go basis, averaging $10-$15 for most
campouts, hikes, etc. This is for food, primarily, and other costs such as
admissions or camping fees. Summer camp (Camp McKee) runs $95 apiece, with a
$10 discount for early registration. We have a few fund-raisers, primarily
council-related and receive occasional donations. Scouts that need financial
assistance are helped from troop funds or donations, usually with some way for
them to work it out in service projects. This is for a troop of about 30 boys
and about a dozen adults. Hope this helps.
