*Scoutmaster Troubles

Regarding the recent message about troubles in his troop, Ken Burns,
left out on essential point which bears on this discussion. RM, the
scoutmaster in question is Woodbadge trained. I regard Ken as an excellent
example of what a scout should be. His troop has produced the last two
lodge chiefs. This is a troop regarded as one of the best, until as of late.
Ken was one of the two lodge treasurers that I had the pleasure to advise.
He accomplished a difficult job with little need of me as advisor. I set out
the parameters, then I sat back and watched it work. Ken did it all. I
can see how upsetting it is for him to see the troop in its present state.
I have recently registered two life scouts in my troop who refused to
consider Ken's troop when their troop failed. Both life scouts are
in the sister Explorer post to Ken's troop.
Like Ken, I need advise here also. Ken came first to me and I have
obviously failed in my attempts. Ken ... stop by .. let's talk.
