Shooting Sports

Fred Rodgers needed advice and was wondering about shooting sports and
scout programs.
One thing that our Council was blessed with this past summer was a
Shooting/Gun club had heard about some cut backs in funding for our program
at summer camp. We have a well organized and SAFETY first rifle range.
The Gun Club decided to sponser any scout that decided to take their rifle
or Shotgun meritbadge. They donated all the ammo for the entire summer.
This may be another means for a council in need. There are a lot of
Gun Clubs that if they knew there was a NEED for this they might come through
for you. All it takes is a few phone calls!
