I'm hearing here that the younger ones judge her on her abilities and the
older ones judge her on her gender. (Bet she's not a looker, is she?)

I think the ASM needs to straighten up FAST, apologizing to all, or get
booted out. If I was a parent of a bullied child, by boy or adult leader
I would go as far as necessary to see that behavior stopped. And if the
SM SUPPORTS THIS BEHAVIOR WITH HIS NONFEASANCE OF DUTY, HE IS JUST AS BAD
as the bully himself.

Too many things leap to mind. Ignoring the gut-reaction rude ones, I
would get rid of him. He is dangerous to have around as a role model
and may even cause the troop to be involved in legal hassles.
Warning: I have been deleting FAST and FURIOUS all morning due to disk
problems, so may have missed other's similar comments. If there haven't
been any: Shame on you!
Boys do grow like weeds, but can bloom like roses, unless all they see
around them are grown up weeds. This one needs pulling.
Ha!, enough fertilizer. don't flame me, I'm prob. outta funds. -Beth A.
