Olan,

PLEASE do NOT separate the LDS leaders and units and single them out! National
and many of us have been struggling for years for the traditional Scouters to ac
cept the LDS leaders and units. Blazer Scouts are Webelos -- not on the level o
f Boy Scouts.

Roundtables should NEVER be separate. The whole idea is to function as a whole,
guys - please do not lose sight of this. Jewish, Buddhist, Mormon, Moslem, ever
yone --- it is very much against our program to separate like that. The LDS do
have a separate Woodbadge, but even non Mormon types do attend -- and Mormons at
tend the traditional BS Woodbadge too.

LDS units are almost ALWAYS service by ONE district. I know a district who over
night had 41 units added to its roster of units. LDS people make very good scou
ters and commissioners, as part of what makes the LDS people who they are is the
aspect of service. This makes it easy for them to have the patience needed to
succeed in our program.

Hope this helps.
