I happen to like that fact that we are able to carry on controversial
discussions here while remaining civil to each other (unlike rec.scouting).
I happen to think that this is a strong need in our society and am
pleased to see that the GSUSA are willing to take it on. While I don't
know a lot about their program, I do know that they seem to be able to
present sensitive subjects in an informative and useful manner. Bravo to
them in this endeavor.
Too bad the BSA is unwilling to even talk about it. At the last NOAC we
had a WOA-TV story planned on an arrowman who had HIV but we were never
allowed to complete it or broadcast it due to 'censorship'.
