Happy NEW Year to everyone!
And to Larry's observation about scouts that are less interrested in
troop activities after a Jambo. . . . I have observed the same effect
after many jambo's plus Philmont and other high adventure trips!
Troop meetings become booring as compared to the high entensity of
jambo or Philmont! I would say keep after them. Make sure they know
the troop schedules for any outside activities etc. My own son is
just now getting back into "GEAR" for old booring troop meetings!
Plus he got his Eagle just before he left for the jambo, so it took
some time for the SM to find a job for him. I think some may think
that after the jmabo, there is nothing better to look forward.
Well there is always the WORLD JAMBO NEXT year! Application are now
at your council offices!!!!
