In thirty-plus years in business, I've never tipped a waitress at a
full-service meal less than 15% (including in the South US, where I've
lived the past 20 years), nor more than 20% -- even at the best
restaurants in New Orleans, Boston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco.
And nobody's ever "sniffed" at me, either.
