Re: New EMS post

Boy, my first post on the new, improved explorer-net :-).

My experience is along the same lines as Susan's....

I am an associate advisor for an EMS post in Simon Kenton Council (Central
and Southern Ohio, and a bit of Northern Kentucky). We do the same sorts
of thing as the post Susan mentioned. Most of our recruiting is word of
mouth. Most of our girls are someones friend. Most of our boys are scouts
who have seen us in action. We recieved some high profile good publicity,
providing support for the Council Commissioners' Conference for the last 2
years. We have one district who asks us out on every activity, and 3 or 4
more who we serve on occasion. Our kids love working the events, and we
never have a problem with attendance. We don't always get all the people
we want, but always enough to perform.
