Dear WB:
Starting a Sea Scout Ship (Sea Explorer Ship) is no different from organizing
any other unit.
Try the National Sea Explorer Fleet homepage URL
http://www.sea.scouter.org/
and Central Region Sea Exploring Flotilla URL
http://www.wisenet.net/users/boyscouts/boyscouts.htm
and Sinnissippi Council Sea Scout Squadron URL
http://www.wisenet.net/users/boyscouts/squadron.htm
and my own Sea Scout Ship SSS Hathor (1) URL
http://www.wisenet.net/users/boyscouts/ssshathor.htm
Uniforms and equipment may be found at URL
http://www.sea.scouter,com/seequip.html
The most active Sea Scout discussion group is Compuserve's SCOUTING Forum.
The Sea Explorer Manual, Skipper's Handbook, Coxswain's (Crew Leader's) Handbook, & Blue
Water-Green Skipper are all in revision. However, all of the foregoing as well as SEAL,
Sea Explorer Advanced Training and Sea Badge courses are also being revised but can be
obtained.
Please let me know where you expect to launch your ship. Also, let me know if
you need anything at all.
YISS;
Bill
